Project Details - Midland Courier Distribution Building and Site Development
This project consisted of the design and construction of a 2500 m 2 building, to house office facilities as well as a shipping terminal. The project was carried out in association with Ron Fougere and Associates Ltd. as the prime consultant, and fga was responsible for all structural and site design. The building’s primary structure is composed of steel members with concrete foundations and loading ramps. The single storey loading area was connected to the two storey office area in the front of the building. The site design was challenging due to the high water table and surface water, and the City required that a storm water retention chamber be installed to limit the flow rate from the site. For fga, the key personnel were Mr. Ken Tobin, P.Eng., and Mr. Ivan Hynes, P.Eng.
