Project Details - Open Web Steel Joist – Investigation & RemediationOur Welding Department was heavily involved in investigation and remediation of open web steel joist in government buildings through the Province of Newfoundland OWSJ Task Force Review Board and Province of Nova Scotia OWSJ Working Committee. The processes involved included a joist-testing program, visual inspection & mechanical testing of joists, an engineering evaluation of the buildings and joists, a remediation program, and supervision of the remediation activities.
