Welding Engineering

fga's Welding Engineering Department provides engineering services that include welding design, procedure preparation, inspection, process analysis and trouble shooting. Although primarily involved in applications under the Canadian Standards Association (CSA) W47.1, W47.2, and W186 Standards, fga has proven experience in all major codes and rules including American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), American Bureau of Shipping (ABS), American Petroleum Institute (API), American Welding Society (AWS), Det Norske Veritas (DNV) and Lloyds. Welding and brazing procedures are developed for clients according to the preceding codes and rules and to applicable Offshore specifications. In addition, the Welding Department provides services related to industrial piping and equipment installation, and the repair and alteration procedures for power boilers, heating boilers, pressure vessels, and pressure piping systems.
